When to Seek Medical Advice and Safety Precautions Immediate medical attention is required if any of the following occur during GLP-1 agonist treatment: Severe, persistent abdominal pain lasting more than a few hours Abdominal pain accompanied by repeated vomiting that prevents fluid intake Fever alongside severe abdominal pain Abdominal pain that progressively worsens rather than improves Yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice) Patients experiencing these symptoms should discontinue their GLP-1 agonist immediately and contact NHS 111, their GP urgently, or attend an emergency department depending on symptom severity
